The theme this year is “Seaside Escape” which is based on Psalm 46:10—Be still, and know that I am God.   SeaSide Escape consists of seven unique sessions. During this retreat, women will use seven items typically found at the beach as metaphors for what they're learning.

Most sessions include worship and Bible study focusing on the story of Sarah and Hagar from Genesis.  All sessions allow time for laughter and fun. Women will draw close to God during a personal time of reflection and prayer, make a difference through a one-of-a-kind service project, and come to truly understand the meaning of Psalm 46:10, "Be still, and know that I am God."

Great Banquet Weekend

The Great Banquet is an orderly, structured 72 hour weekend experience, beginning on Thursday evening and ending on Sunday evening designed to strengthen and renew the faith of Christians.  Through a combined effort of laity and clergy, the Great Banquet focuses on the renewal of the church.   The image of the Great Banquet comes from the New Testament book of Luke.  Jesus tells of a master who prepared a great banquet and invited many guests, saying “Come, for everything is now ready.  Many had excuses and did not attend. Finally, many were brought who were poor, crippled, blind and lame. The result of the master’s invitation was to feast and fellowship at a banquet given by God.  Many Great Banquet weekends are held right at Christ the Savior.   Visit hcgb.net to learn more about Great Banquet.

This weekend experience is for anyone who: Wishes to strengthen his/her own spiritual life; wants to have a better understanding of prayer, the sacraments, study and Christian action; strives to live a Christian life that bears fruit for God; seeks to know Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior and to make Him known You are invited to be a guest at the Great Banquet given by God and to feast on His goodness and love.

Awakening is a Great Banquet experience for teens.

INKY Via De Cristo

Via de Cristo Weekend

Via de Cristo is a Spanish term meaning “Way of Christ.”  It is a three-day retreat that takes a New Testament look at Christianity as a lifestyle. Via de Cristo is a highly structured weekend designed to strengthen and renew the faith of Christian people, and through them, their families, churches, and the environment in which they live and work.  It is a united effort of laity and clergy to aid congregations in developing Christian leaders to more effectively serve Christ in the church.  To learn more about Via de Cristo, visit inkyvdc.org.

The Via de Cristo retreats are offered several times a year. These personal, spiritual retreats are powerful and transforming experiences. We strongly urge you to consider taking time off for this beautifully orchestrated spiritual retreat.  The Via de Cristo weekend begins on a Thursday evening and ends on the following Sunday evening. During the weekend, you will attend morning and evening chapel services and celebrate communion, pray, sing, enjoy fellowship, eat delicious food, make new friends, and discuss talks given by laity and clergy. Each participant experiences the weekend a little differently but all have the opportunity to deepen their relationship of Jesus Christ.

INKY Via De Cristo offers several weekend retreats per year.  Depending on your location, you can attend either the North Weekends, the South Weekends, or the Kentucky Weekends. For a calendar of upcoming weekend dates click here.  If married, husbands attend first followed the next weekend by the wife. Singles by choice, divorce, or those who've lost a spouse are welcomed warmly. Co-ed weekends are joint weekends for men and women; single or married.
