We collect and send shoeboxes filled with personal care items, school supplies and toys each year to send to New Missions to distribute to children in Dominican Republic and Haiti. Please save your shoeboxes and watch for a list of supplies needed when the collection starts in November. To learn more about New Missions Shoebox Drive, click here to visit their website.

Collection of items - November 2011
Donations must be received by November 28
During the month of November, we will collect cash donations and new items to pack in shoeboxes, wrap with love and send through New Missions to children in Haiti. Earlier this year when the devastating earthquake occurred a team of high school students from Florida was delivering shoeboxes in a village nearby. All the students returned home safely, but the devastation remains. This holiday season, you and your family can share the love of Christ by donating new items to pack in the boxes, donating cash to help ship the boxes, or joining us for the packing party to pack and wrap the boxes. Please take a tag off of the giving tree and return items to the church by Sunday November 28th. Please note “shoebox drive” on the memo line if you are writing a check. The cost to send one box is $7. We can also use donations of shoeboxes, plastic storage boxes with lids, clear tape, and wrapping paper. Donations must be received by Sunday November 28.
Packing Party - December 3, 2011
Everyone is invited to the Shoebox Packing Party on December 3rd. This is a wonderful opportunity for adults and children to serve during Advent by preparing the shoeboxes to be sent to Haiti. We will pack boxes and also have a special showing of the newest Veggie Tales Christmas movie “It’s A Meaningful Life”.
