Pre-K student-to-teacher ratio - 14 to 2
The Pre-Kindergarten (Pre-K) classes are designed to develop and enhance basic skills needed for a successful entrance into kindergarten. Our student-to-teacher ratio allows teachers to work with children in small groups and one-on-one as needed. Each month presents many new and exciting themes that the children experience through stories, songs, crafts, games and even at times, field trips.
Circle time activities include calendar, weather, job chart
letter/number of the week, show-n-tell, story, music,
sharing and sitting quietly.
Throughout the Pre-K day, the classes experience free play, circle time, crafts, centers, snack, lunch and gross motor play outside (weather permitting). Free play encourages the children to enhance their social skills with one another through play and also provides time to make new friends.
Circle time provides countless activities including calendar, weather, job chart, and letter/number of the week, show-n-tell, story, music, sharing and sitting quietly. Center and craft time allows us to work with the children on academic and fine motor skills.
Pre-K basic skills include (but are not limited to):
- Alphabet: recognition & writing (upper/lower case)
- Numbers: recognition & writing
- Counting
- Recognition & writing name
- Colors, Shapes
- Cutting, coloring, painting, buttoning, zipping

The "playground" is a great place to learn social skills
and meet new friends!

Express Kids (our music program) two times per month and Chapel monthly. The Pre-K classes also take field trips throughout the school year (Holliday Park, Conner Prairie, Uncle Bill's Pet Shop, to name a few) and have their parents involved during Pumpkin Carving Night, Thanksgiving Feast, Christmas Program, Mother's Day Activity and the Graduation Ceremony.

Comments from Parents
"My experience at Noah's Ark has been absolutely wonderful! All three of my children loved going to school and were so prepared for kindergarten. After trying some other preschools, I was so impressed by the professional curriculum at Noah's Ark. Moreover, I never once felt uncomfortable leaving my children as I knew they were in excellent hands! The teachers are so sweet and caring! It is bitter sweet to have my youngest graduate from Noah's Ark in May. My family will cherish the fantastic memories!" Zoe Simopoulos
