Spash 252
252 Basics is our Sunday morning program that provides a set of very application-rich tools for families to teach kids Godly character and key biblical principles. Each month we will focus on a different Christ-like virtue with different Bible lessons and bottom lines each week. Before kids head off Junior High we want to make sure these three basic truths stick:
- Wisdom - I need to make the wise choice.
- Faith - I can trust God no matter what.
- Friendship - I should treat others the way I want to be treated.
What Happens on Sunday Morning
Kids are challenged every Sunday at Splash 252 to trust God, make wise choices and build lasting friendships.
- Welcome - Kids participate with their small group in an activity meant to introduce the one truth, or bottom line, we want kids to walk away with and remember that morning.
- Large group - Designed to make the Bible come to life using drama, music and media to unveil the bottom line.
- Small group - Designed to help kids understand how the day's bottom line applies to them. They will discuss real life experiences interacting with their small group and participating in a variety of fun activities. Every Sunday students connect with the same small group of kids and the same small group leader. That way they get connected and have the best chance to establish a relationship that's going to matter when they need it most.
Connecting Church and Home
God Time Cards - God Time Cards are a series of four Bible devotions that go along with the Sunday morning Bible lesson. The goal is for each child to take a few minutes four times a week to complete each devotion. These devotions teach kids how to have a special daily Quiet Time with God and continue to reinforce and teach the lesson throughout the week. Tip: We have some parents who use this valuable tool throughout the week as a bedtime devotion for the whole family.
Fridge Door Cards - Fridge door cards are for you to put on....your refridgerator door. This card has the weekly Bible story, the bottom line (main theme) and the memory verse.
