Toddlers & Twos
This is a fun and active stage in your child's life. We are excited to have each child in Stepping Stones and look forward to teaching them that God loves them, God made them and Jesus wants to be their friend forever.

First Look
Our First Look teaching plan begins in our Toddlers & Twos room. All activities are age appropriate with plenty of flexibility for the developmental needs of toddlers and two year old. Every week your child will hear a Bible story and will also participate in many creative activities throughout the morning. We believe in an active, hands-on approach with our kids so be on the lookout for those fun projects.
Our First Look curriculum is centered on three basic truths. We focus on one of these basic truths each month.
- God made me.
- God loves me.
- Jesus wants to be my friend forever.
What to Bring
We hope that the following information will help you and your child have a great experience on Sunday morning.
- Be sure to bring extra diapers and a change of clothes.
- Label all items including, cups, snack, diapers, pacifiers, etc.
- If your child is potty-traing, please be sure to communciate that to the teacher. We ask they wear pull-ups while training.
- Please do not bring extra toys, since it is hard to distinguish what belongs to whom. This can cause the child unnecessary frustration when they are asked to share something that was brought from home.
Small Talk
While we seek to teach your children about God, we know that no one has more influence on their lives than you. We want to partner with you to help them learn more about their heavenly Father. SMall Talk is our monthly early childhoon communication piece for parents. This will tell you what your child learned that day including the key truth and the bottom line for the month. This resource provides creative ideas that will hlep you take advantage of teachable moments in your home and reinforce what was taught on Sunday morning.
Promotion
Promotion to the next classroom is based on age and the school calendar. Parents will be notified when your child is being promoted.
