Planting a Seed…Growing in God…Blooming in Faith

In 2008 the Sisters Ministry launched this vision:

“Planting a Seed…Growing in God…Blooming in Faith” by encouraging women to explore and deepen their personal relationship with Jesus.  This begins with the desire to have God’s grace and love planted in each woman’s heart. 

Planting a Seed:  For some women this a beginning place.  A place where they have the love and grace of God planted in their hearts, and that seed needs to be cared for and matured through specific practices and participation.  For other women, this is the opportunity to assist in planting the seed in others; sharing their personal faith journey and experiences with God.  Our stories help the Holy Spirit plant seeds in others.

The seed of God’s grace and love helps us to each identify and understand God’s gifts and purposes for our lives.  Women are encouraged to understand they are equipped with specific gifts, skills and passions to be used in service and care for others.  Women are invited to participate in small group bible studies, attend women’s retreats and spiritual renewal weekends, and serve in the church body or community. 

Growing in God:  As we nurture our seed of faith, God will grow us through regular worship attendance, small group bible studies, women’s retreats/events, spending personal time with God and fellowship/friendships with other Christian women.  Seeking ways to learn about God’s character and His purposes for our lives is continued growth in God.

As we bloom in our faith, we are active in our pursuit to fellowship with God continually.  We invite others to deepen their personal faith journey, and mentor one another as we walk through life.

Blooming in Faith:  When we are blooming in faith we stand beside other sisters by being prayer warriors for each other, mentoring newer or younger believers, tithing, serving one another and our community regularly.  When we are blooming, God has such great opportunities to use us because we are open! 

The hope of the Sisters Ministry is that you feel invited, encouraged and challenged to pursue and participate in your relationship with Jesus!  We hope is to see a beautiful field of blooming flowers throughout Christ the Savior and beyond
