June 2010 High Seas Expedition: A Wave of Fun
An enthusiastic crew of 177 children sailed the High Seas for VBS fun and Bible learning. The children explored stories of the Bible showing them that no matter what storms life holds for us, God is with us and we do not need to be afraid. We are grateful for the the 42 5th-9th grade youth who served as peer leaders for our crews and helped at our stations. They were a mighty example of the love of Jesus and created special bonds with the younger children. We were blessed with 32 amazing adult volunteers and leaders who provided guidance, led activities, prepared food and loved the children.
Missions is a big part of our VBS providing an opportunity for the children to experience joy in giving and helping others. The generous outpouring of our VBS families was awesome!
We collected:
-
319 dry good items for St. John's food pantry
-
326 pairs of children socks for Lutherwood
-
223 school supply items for Good Samaritan
-
$350.08 in loose change to support our Children's Ministry Compassion
kids in Nicaragua.
Thanks to everyone who supported VBS through your time and donations!
