On March 28-29, the Senior High Youth will be participating in a 30 hour famine: Be seen. Be heard. BE HUNGRY. Over a half a million students in the U.S., along with thousands more from countries worldwide have also participated in this event. This event will take place here at Christ the Savior starting Friday night with a Battle of the Bands concert. Several local bands will donate their time and talent to a concert which will generate funds from suggested donations (around $3).
On Saturday, the youth will be serving out in the community. Individuals who are participating will be seeking sponsors to donate to their fundraising goal. World Vision, a Christian Humanitarian organization, will use the money collected through students’ pledges to help provide hope and assistance to communities around the world that need our help. Just $30 will help feed one child for an entire month.
Watch for students who are participating in this years 30 Hour Famine who will be seeking sponsors in between services in March. Check out the announcements for ways you can participate in this years’ event aside from your sponsor donations.
