Roots is the ministry for our 5th and 6th graders at Christ The Savior. We welcome all 5th and 6th graders to participate in the Roots ministry. 5th and 6th graders are often referred to as 'tweeners'. They feel too big for what the children do yet are not ready for Junior High. Roots is a place they can belong and bridge that gap As a Roots student, you will have two opportunities to meet each week. These opportunities will include Sunday Morning and Wednesday night.
Sunday Morning Edition
Sunday Edition is our Sunday morning ministry for intermediate students. They will begin in “big church” with their families during the 10:45 service for the opening songs and then they will be dismissed. Roots "Sunday Edition" will take the Splash 252 focus to the next level, keeping it relevant for 'tweeners'. Each month, they will take a look at a different virtue and each week will be a bible story that ties into the virtue and theme.
Wednesday Night Life
On Wednesday’s, they will have an opportunity to eat dinner with their family and friends (6:30). Following dinner, they will have an opportunity of fellowship & fun through games and numerous activities. They will then have a lesson that is based on movies and current themes that will also enhance what they are learning on Sunday morning. Throughout the year, they will have an opportunity to participate in other activities that will include movie nights, hayrides, laser tag and a conference designed specifically for them.
