Wednesday Night Life

Time: Wednesdays | 6 to 6:30 pm dinner | 6:45 to 8 pm class

Wednesday Night Life is a midweek gathering to share a meal, share God’s word and share our lives with friends. September through April, we gather for dinner and conversation, followed by a time of study or worship. This time together in the middle of busy weeks allows us to reconnect with friends and God’s Word. Programming is also available for children and youth. Childcare is available at 6:30 pm for babies-preschool with registration.

Dinner

6 to 6:30 pm
Enjoy a catered dinner (without the clean up!) and conversation with friends and family.

April 25 Menu:
Fajita Bar - catered by Verde

Make your reservation each week by the Sunday before so that we can plan accurately.

Dinner Reservation

We want everyone to enjoy this restaurant-style meal and conversation around the table, so simply share what you can. For those who are able, we encourage a donation of $7 per adult meal and $5 per kids meal.

Class

6:45 to 8 pm

Divided/United

Everywhere we turn, it seems our world is more divided than ever. Issues around politics, race, religion, ethnicity, gender all seem to sift and sort us into this category or that. Though the divisions aren’t anything new, the intensity seems to be stronger than ever. Join Pastor Brian for three weeks of exploring what it means to focus on what we have in common over what separates us. Learn what followers of Jesus are called to do in a time of such division – and pray together for the strength to do it.

Time: 1:30 pm – 5:30 pm

Rain or shine (but not if storming)

Get some fresh air with the guys and get to know the young men from Trinity House, a residential facility for young men (16-18 years of age) who have faced various struggles in their lives. The men's ministry at Christ the Savior connects with these young men on a regular basis to build relationships with and encourage them.

Bring your spouse, friend or child (who is old enough to stay with the group) to join in this outdoor adventure! If the weather is warm, we may even stomp in the creek, so bring an old pair of shoes.

Meet in the parking lot (highlighted in yellow) inside Fort Benjamin Harrison State Park. If you'd like to carpool and share the cost of admittance ($7 per car), call Karl at 317-507-2172. After a couple of hours in the park, we will have an early dinner at La Hacienda Mexican Restaurant. Let us know if you'll be staying for dinner so we can make a reservation.

Faith5 Fires

+

Wednesday, June 6

Faith5 Fires

Time: 7:00 pm – 8:30 pm

What are Faith5 Fires?

Faith5 Fires draw people of all ages together for a casual evening of roasting marshmallows, making s’mores, sharing stories, chatting with friends, playing games and praying together. We follow the simple steps of Faith5:

Share our highs and lows
Read from God’s Word
Talk about life and scripture
Pray with and for one another
Bless each other with the sign of the cross

In this cross-generational setting, we bring together the wonder of the child with the wisdom of the elder and everything in between.

When are Faith5 Fires?

Wednesdays in June & July (with the exception of July 4).
Come as you are anytime after 7 pm. We will clean up and put out the fire by 8:30 pm.

Who is welcome at Faith5 Fires?

All are welcome -- children, teens, adults, singles and families of all shapes and sizes. These are great evenings to invite a friend or neighbor!

Do I need to bring anything?

S'mores: A variety of s’mores fixings and water will be provided. We will have vegetarian, vegan and gluten free options. You are welcome to bring additional goodies to contribute to the s’mores if you would like. We are always looking for new and creative s’more recipes to sample!
Blankets/chairs: Bench seating is limited, so we recommend bringing a blanket and/or chairs to sit on.
Games: Bringing your own frisbees, footballs, bubbles and other outdoor activities is encouraged.

What happens if it looks like rain?

If it looks like rain or other bad weather is possible, we have Faith5 Fires inside the church building. The same great activities, only in a different location and without the fire. When the weather is good, we build the fire in the fire pit on the front circle lawn.

Wednesday, August 22

Wednesday, October 31
