Faith5 Fires

Wednesday, June 27

Faith5 Fires

Time: 7:00 pm – 8:30 pm

What are Faith5 Fires?

Faith5 Fires draw people of all ages together for a casual evening of roasting marshmallows, making s’mores, sharing stories, chatting with friends, playing games and praying together. We follow the simple steps of Faith5:

Share our highs and lows
Read from God’s Word
Talk about life and scripture
Pray with and for one another
Bless each other with the sign of the cross

In this cross-generational setting, we bring together the wonder of the child with the wisdom of the elder and everything in between.

When are Faith5 Fires?

Wednesdays in June & July (with the exception of July 4).
Come as you are anytime after 7 pm. We will clean up and put out the fire by 8:30 pm.

Who is welcome at Faith5 Fires?

All are welcome -- children, teens, adults, singles and families of all shapes and sizes. These are great evenings to invite a friend or neighbor!

Do I need to bring anything?

S'mores: A variety of s’mores fixings and water will be provided. We will have vegetarian, vegan and gluten free options. You are welcome to bring additional goodies to contribute to the s’mores if you would like. We are always looking for new and creative s’more recipes to sample!
Blankets/chairs: Bench seating is limited, so we recommend bringing a blanket and/or chairs to sit on.
Games: Bringing your own frisbees, footballs, bubbles and other outdoor activities is encouraged.

What happens if it looks like rain?

If it looks like rain or other bad weather is possible, we have Faith5 Fires inside the church building. The same great activities, only in a different location and without the fire. When the weather is good, we build the fire in the fire pit on the front circle lawn.

Pub Theology

Time: 7:30 pm

Boombozz Pizza in Fishers

Enjoy spirited, open conversation about topics of faith! Come prepared to join a conversation where the focus is not on “right answers” but instead on growing in wisdom and Christian fellowship. Participants are expected to listen respectfully and engage considerately with one another. Guests are welcome! The gathering takes place in a semi-private room at Boombozz Pizza on 116th Street, just east of Cumberland Road in Fishers. Full menu service is available and separate checks will be issued.

This month's topic: Heaven
Pop Culture's view of heaven fills our minds with images of beautiful angels playing harps on floating clouds. But, is that really what Christians are to expect after we die? Join the conversation about what the bible actually says (and doesn't say) concerning heaven and eternal life.

Wednesday, August 15
