Or, if you prefer, you can take the box home with you and ship it using your preferred shipping method.

Let us know you'll be there by registering in advance. Can't be there, but would like a care package sent to your student? Let us know when you register, and we'll pack a box for them.

REGISTER

  • that small item they forgot at home
  • enough for your student and, if you'd like, some to share with other students

The Great Spiritual Migration

Time: 10:00 am – 10:40 am

Room 130s

Drawing from his work as global activist, pastor, and public theologian, Brian McLaren challenges readers to embrace the powerful new understandings that are reshaping the church. In The Great Spiritual Migration, he explores three profound shifts that define the change:

  1. Spiritually, growing numbers of Christians are moving away from defining themselves by lists of beliefs and toward a way of life defined by love
  2. Theologically, believers are increasingly rejecting the image of God as a violent Supreme Being and embracing the image of God as the renewing Spirit at work in our world for the common good
  3. Missionally, the faithful are identifying less with organized religion and more with organizing religion—spiritual activists dedicated to healing the planet, building peace, overcoming poverty and injustice, and collaborating with other faiths to ensure a better future for all of us
With his trademark brilliance and compassion, McLaren invites readers to seize the moment and set out on the most significant spiritual pilgrimage of our time: to help Christianity become more Christian.

Destination Unknown

Time: 6:00 pm – 7:30 pm

Destination Unknown is not a Bible study. It is an encounter with God out in our local community. The initial meeting location will always be the same – Christ the Savior Lutheran Church. The final meeting place will always be different!

Carpool to a physical location somewhere in the community to listen to the word of God, discuss it, and learn how to apply it to our lives. Destination Unknown is where life and faith intersect. Every time we meet, we do so in a new location. A new location with a new purpose, a new message, a new way for us to grow closer to God through growing closer with each other out in the community we call home.

Open to all ages. Meet outside the main entrance of the church building.

Time: 6:30 pm – 8:30 pm

Stephen Ministers come from all walks of life but share a passion for bringing Christ’s love and care to people during a time of need. What often surprises them is the tremendous personal and spiritual growth they themselves experience.
