Start 2020 by improving your relationship with God’s Word!
December 5, 2019
Most of us have felt intimidated by the Bible from time to time –
That should be no surprise! The Bible is a complex collection of writings from different authors spanning thousands of years who lived in cultural settings and historical times far different from our own.
Yet, as people of faith – we believe that God’s Word is ALIVE! We expect that through the scriptures, the living God speaks to us, seeking to shape our lives the way a potter molds clay:
Yet, O LORD, you are our Father;
we are the clay, and you are our potter;
we are all the work of your hand.
Are you ready to spend 30 days sharpening your skill for engaging the Bible? During the month of January, members and friends of Christ the Savior Lutheran Church will be reading Pastor Nicole Unice’s new book, “Help! My Bible is Alive!”. Week by week, the book will guide us through practical, helpful tools and skills that anyone can use to improve their relationship with scripture.
Check out this invitation from the author:
In addition, regular messages from the pastors – both on Sundays in January and online – will help to guide and encourage you. Various groups, including our Sunday morning discussion group, will also be engaging “Help! My Bible is Alive!”.
