The Parent Village
Time: 10:00 am – 12:00 pm
When a child struggles, the family struggles. The Parent Village is designed to provide education and support to parents whose teenage children are struggling with mood and anxiety issues. We welcome people of all faiths, and those who do not identify with religious faith. The group will be structured with 45 minutes of education and 45 minutes of discussion and general support. Afterwards, anyone who wishes may participate in an optional time of devotional and prayer.
August topic is crisis planning. Meets in Room 140 at the church. No registration needed.
The group's coordinator is Leeanne Carlson, Ph.D., HSSP, who is a clinical psychologist. The group, however, is designed to be parent/member driven.
