The World Turned Upside Down: Caring for Ourselves and Others in Anxious Times

Time: 10:00 am – 11:30 am

A global pandemic, racial unrest, politics, e-learning, changing workplaces, masks, social media, conflicting news reports…. any one of these are anxiety provoking and can be overwhelming for anyone! We are living in unprecedented times, and it can be hard to know how to take care of ourselves, let alone walk with others in the struggle.

Please join our CTS Mental Health Team as we host an in-person/Zoom event about tools for managing anxiety for yourself, as well as the best tools to be helpful to friends and family. Our team of licensed clinicians will discuss the following topics:

  • The role of anxiety in life….(it can be a GOOD thing!)
  • When too much is really too much….(knowing how and when to get help)
  • This is your brain on anxiety….(how anxiety interferes with brain functioning)
  • Tools to calm the body….(put on your own oxygen mask before assisting others)
  • Tools to calm the mind…..(don’t believe everything you feel)
  • Helping children and other family members….(being the hands and feet of Christ)
