Christ the King

When asked by two of his disciples for places of honor and power in his kingdom he responded, "The Son of Man has come not to be served, but to serve and give his life a ransom for many." In his new kingdom, the king would be a servant. And, the work of his kingdom would be service for others. When we celebrate Christ as King, we acknowledge Him not only as King of the world, but also as King of our lives. We do that be entering his kingdom of love and service for others.
