LAZARUS GARDEN
Lazarus Garden provides the local community a place to grow their own food and helps feed the hungry in the community through donations of fresh produce to local food banks.
Be sure to check our garden Facebook group for updates.
Reserve an individual garden plot. Plant, tend and harvest crops during the growing season. Share some with the local food banks who are helping to feed the hungry in our community (collection bins located inside the church building). Share a plot with a friend or make it a family project!
Help tend the community garden plot. You don't have to commit to an entire summer of gardening to help feed the hungry. Give an hour or two on any given work day. The Lazarus Garden has a large plot in which 100% of the produce is donated to the food banks. It requires many hands to keep the weeds out and the vegetables growing. Bring your garden gloves, lawn tools and closed-toe shoes. Work days are weather dependent, so be sure to check our garden Facebook group for updates. More work days will be scheduled soon.
