Family Ministry

Engaging in Family Ministry at Christ the Savior Lutheran Church draws us
closer to Christ while fostering connection and strengthening relationships on
the journey of faith. Building relationships across all generations in the
congregation reveals the wisdom, wonder, and passion of the body of Christ.

Sharing the journey of faith in Family Ministry will encourage:

• Understanding and engaging scripture as the living Word of God that transforms our lives
  by helping us become more like Jesus.
• Paying attention to the Holy Spirit so that we seek and act upon the will of God.
• Participating in, contributing to and leading in the worship life of the congregation.
• Serving our neighbors in the love of Christ both within and beyond the congregation.
• Forming and strengthening peer and intergenerational relationships, as well as connecting
  households in similar life stages, to foster care, accountability and a sense of belonging.
• Equipping households and groups to engage in spiritual conversations and faith practices
  in the daily rhythms of life.
• Celebrating milestones that recognize God’s presence throughout life’s journey. Milestones
  are celebrated in the church family (ie. baptism, 1st communion, confirmation) and in the
  household.

We recognize and celebrate that families come in all shapes and sizes.In each
diverse household, families are the first circle of faith formation. As part of the
congregation, we share in a larger family of faith as well – the Body of Christ.
Family Ministry at Christ the Savior is designed to encourage faith formation within
the household and congregation.
